The construction that focuses on performance is black. We focused on maximizing the performance of Thunderbolt technology to achieve the aggressive riding required in competition and smooth vertical movement in large waves. Its construction features 6oz carbon fiber laminate combined with 2oz fiberglass. With the lightness and suppleness of carbon fiber, Black is incredibly light, with fast flex and responsiveness throughout the board. From hard rips in large waves to roundhouse cutbacks on full rails and even tube riding, you can draw any maneuver you want.
It is an all-round construction that combines classic and high performance. The laminate uses 6oz + 4oz fiberglass for the deck and 6oz + 2oz fiberglass for the bottom. It's lighter than traditional PU longboards, but still has a good amount of weight, so it combines great performance with an old-school longboard feel. You can handle everything from small waves of 1ft to overhead waves while feeling the ride quality of a longboard. You can enjoy both classic riding and aggressive maneuvers such as long nose riding, drop knee turns, and spray roller coasters. The red finish is heavier than the black, so it is less affected by choppy conditions with strong winds, making it easier to control.
Silver is a construction that gives you a classic riding feel. The laminate uses 6oz + 6oz fiberglass for the deck and 6oz + 4oz fiberglass for the bottom, making it heavier than other constructions. This increases the feeling of glide and cruise, making traditional riding possible. Of course, it has the performance and flex of the Thunderbolt, making it easy to perform delicate board controls such as quick pivot turns and setups in wave pockets. You can enjoy old school log riding such as hang fives, hang tens, and curl trimming in small waves.
The new OUTLIER X is our answer to the performance egg. Sometimes you just need the board to do the work for you. The OUTLIER X will paddle and catch waves with ease and perform like a modern day shorty. The rolled entry helps the board trim and avoid unnecessary pumping while the performance rails and rocker still pivot and turn with a little bit of release when needed. The outline has a constant curve paired with a modern rocker, which helps the board ride like a much shorter board.
A reliable all-arounder that sings in crappy conditions and still performs in double overhead surf. Speed power and control. The Outlier X stands a notch above other eggs and funboards out there. (Concept designed by CJ x Ryan Engle)
