Privacy Policy

Subtotal Distribution LLC (“Subtotal,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit https://subtotaldistribution.com (the “Site”), shop with us, apply for a dealer account or contact us.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses.
• Order information: the products you buy, order history, and communications about your orders.
• Account information: login email and password if you create an account.
• Dealer and wholesale information: business name, business address, contact person, and tax or resale information if you apply for a dealer account.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, contact form, or newsletter signup.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our e-commerce platform and payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, our service providers and we automatically collect:

• your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
• browser and device type;
• the pages you view and the links you click;
• referring websites; and
• the date and time of your visit.

This information is collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Section 4).

Information from others. We may receive information from our platform and payment providers, shipping carriers, advertising and analytics partners, and social media platforms when you interact with our pages.

2. How We Use Information

• create and manage your account and any dealer account;
• respond to your questions and requests;
• send order updates and, with your permission, newsletters and promotions;
• operate, secure and improve the Site;
• understand how visitors use the Site;
• show relevant ads for our products on other websites and platforms;
• prevent fraud and protect our rights; and
• comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information only as follows:

• Service providers that help us run our business, including our e-commerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, email and marketing providers, analytics providers and IT providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising partners that use cookies and pixels on our Site to measure and deliver ads. Under California law, this may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time (see Section 6).
• Legal and safety. We may share information when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Subtotal, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers. If Subtotal is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site and understand how it’s used:

• Essential cookies enable core features like the shopping cart, checkout and account login.
• Performance and analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.

5. Your Choices

• Marketing emails: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email, or contact us. We will still send order-related messages.
• Cookies and ads: see Section 4.
• Global Privacy Control: we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. If we know who you are, we apply it to your account as well. You can confirm that your opt-out has been honored on our Your Privacy Choices page.

6. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended:

• Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and to request a copy of it.
• Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Visit Your Privacy Choices or use Global Privacy Control.
• Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. The only sensitive information we collect is your account login credentials, and we use them only to provide account access, so no limitation request is needed.
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months:

We collect these categories from the sources described in Section 1, for the purposes described in Section 2. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

How to submit a request. Email sales@subtotaldistribution.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity by matching the information you provide with what we have on file. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your signed permission. We will respond within 45 days, as required by law.

California Shine the Light. California residents may request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes by contacting us at the email below.

7. Residents of Other States

Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete or opt out of certain processing of their personal information. To make a request, email sales@subtotaldistribution.com. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. That includes completing orders, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal requirements. Afterward, we delete or de-identify it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us, and we will delete it.

11. Visitors Outside the United States

The Site is operated in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the U.S. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

12. Third-Party Sites

The Site may link to websites and social platforms we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
